I walked down an organic restaurant last night in washington DC area and found one of the waitresses really impolite. I went to her and asked a simple question : Are you always so nice with people. She looked at me as if she is saying sorry and said "NO". I see a sudden change in her behavior. SHe was nice and warm to the people. What I really want to say is, people can make big impacts by doing some small and simple things. You don't have to be Al Gore or some Nobel prize winner to contribute to environmental causes. You can make meaningful contributions by taking small steps like sharing green information on sites like carbonbulls.com and enlighten the world in every little way you can.
Point is, we wanna live our lives on our own terms but there is always a 'duty factor' towards the world we live in. We should not absolve of our responsibilities. Its like running away from your girlfriend without saying Goodbye even if there were and no promises made and any other string attached to start with. Its a common courtesy.
Just like many others I am gonna try and live 2010 on my own terms but I am definitely gonna have some New Year resolutions and one of them would be to contribute to Green cause. I am gonna spend rest of this year and hopefully all years to come spending some time on carbonbulls.
